Last year's program was a huge success.
Our students were great , and our host families were FABULOUS!
Here are some comments from previous host families:
"Last year Nancy and I hosted a student from Spain for 4 weeks during the summer, we had a good time and found the experience to be fun if schedules permit, I know that we will consider doing it again." - John
". . .thanks to the both of you for your dedication and hard work in making this program a success. Our Spanish student, Antonio, looked forward to attending English classes every day and especially enjoyed the group discussions. The field trips were great. They really provided Antonio with a variety of history, fun and a look at American life. Antonio had been on two home stays before this one (one in Chicago and one in England and felt this trip was the best by far. I am especially thankful that you called on us to become a host family. We had a wonderful experience. Antonio would talk of his home, his family and every day life in Spain. He would teach us some Spanish history and believe it or not, some American history. We talked about our differences in our cultures, family life, and music. The more we talked, the more we realized that despite some cultural differences, we were basically the same. And in the short amount of time, Antonio became a member of our family, even so much as to compete with Nick, our son, for that last piece of lasagna!" - Joan
"Our experience with our student was more than I had hoped for. I wanted my children to experience what life is like in another country through the eyes of another who lived there. We received so much more. We got more emotionally attached than I thought, and we learned many things like how different others live, eat, dress, etc. and how lucky we are for so many reasons and the many choices we have. I think my children realized how much more we do with them as opposed to other parents in America and abroad. I know we all reflected how proud we are to be an American." - Donna
